Be A Big Mentor

Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is one of the most rewarding and enjoyable things you will ever do. Spend a few hours a few times a month as a mentor to a child and you can make a BIG impact in that child’s life.

​How It Works
Depending on the program you're in, you may meet your Little in the community or at our site-based program in La Quinta. Littles come from all kinds of backgrounds. Some are really little (as young as six) and some are teenagers. Some may live on your block and some a few miles away. What do they all have in common? They need you!

What's Needed From You:

• Complete an application
• Provide three references 
• Participate in an in-person interview 
• Have a background check performed (adult volunteers only)
• Attend orientation/training​

Step 2 - Apply

Our team makes your enrollment streamlined and simple. After you inquire about becoming a Big, our staff will contact you and send you an application and background check form. After you complete an application and background check form, you will be asked to attend an interview and informative training.

Step 3 - Get Matched With A Little

Attend an introduction hosted by staff where you will meet the family and child you will spend time being their mentor.

Step 4 - Stay Connected

Regular check-ins support volunteers and families and ensure child safety.
